Whip ("we," "our," or "us") is a contractor quoting platform operated by Gabe Whipple, a sole proprietor based in Fort Collins, Colorado. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our service at whipquotes.com.

From contractors (registered users):

Name and email address (used for account creation and login)
Business name and contact information
Quote data you create (line items, pricing, job descriptions)
Payment information (processed by Stripe — we do not store card details)

From customers (quote recipients):

Name, phone number, and email address — provided by the contractor when creating a quote
Quote acceptance or decline status

3. How We Use Your Information

To send quotes via SMS and email on behalf of contractors
To allow customers to view, accept, or decline quotes
To notify contractors when a quote is accepted
To manage contractor accounts and subscriptions
To improve the platform and diagnose technical issues

4. SMS Messaging

Whip sends SMS messages to customers on behalf of contractors using Twilio. Message frequency depends on how many quotes a contractor sends. Message and data rates may apply. Customers do not need to opt in to a marketing list — messages are transactional quote notifications initiated by the contractor. To stop receiving messages, contact the contractor directly or reply STOP to any message.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Whip:

Twilio — SMS delivery
Resend — Email delivery
Supabase — Database and authentication
Stripe — Payment processing
Vercel — Hosting and infrastructure

Each provider has their own privacy policy governing their handling of data.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We only share data with the service providers listed above as necessary to operate the platform.

7. Data Retention

We retain account and quote data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

9. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. Contractors can manage their account data directly from the settings page.
